Lives up to the hype. Simple fish and chips done to perfection in a typical restaurant. Worth the detour from the station if you’re visiting as a tourist.

I heard rumors that it is difficult to find a delicious restaurant, although it is famous enough to immediately remind me of fish and chips when I think of the UK. I went on a one-day trip to Brighton, but the place I was originally going to went out of business, so I just went there. I totally recommend it:D Fish and chips that I eat for the first time in England. The fish meat was soft and the fried clothes were not thick, so it was good, and the seasoning was not salty. The fried fish, which is also cut with a fork, was soft but not broken, and the fries were crude, but they were light and large in quantity. Above all, the good thing about this place is the employee. Thanks to the female employee who is kind, sweet, and smiles at me from ordering to payment, the late dinner alone became an unforgettable memory for me. If I come to Brighton again, I will revisit. Thank you for making good memories for me. Taste, service, and everything are perfect!

After checking numerous reviews for a good fish & chip shop in Brighton (that also allowed dogs), we decided to go for Bardsley’s and glad we did Service was fast, attentive and kind. They even provided a dog bowl of water for our Pomeranian. Food was lovely. I chose the cod and chips and my husband chose the batterer sausage with chips. They offered free water without asking and choice of condiments; tartar sauce, ketchup and/or mayo. Vinegar and salt & pepper are already on the table. At the end they even were kind enough to provide a souvenir postcard and mints Service charge isn’t on the bill so make sure to leave a tip!

Great chippy, wonderful atmosphere, great prices and even greater food! Certainly the best chippy in brighton. Staff are always fantastic and it’s always exceptionally lovely. Caters well to the vegan diet as well, which is great.

Now, we like fish, and we like chips. And what a treat Bardsley's fish and chips were. Friendly, familiar service, generous large serve. We felt taken care of, like we couldn't possibly be in London. Maybe we should move to Brighton... Thanks team.

The best fish and chips we’ve ever had! A big piece of fish with crispy batter and a huge pile chips, and a delicious apple pie with custard to finish, and such a fair price at 17 for both. Thanks Bev for lovely service too! Will be coming again on our next trip :)
